  • Working as Technical Manager for QA on three different projects. One of the most important project was evaluating Automation Test Tool for QA.   • Worked as a Sr. Project Manager for QA Department on 8 different projects. One of the most important project is Mailwatch. Mailwatch is an e-mail firewall service that scans a stream of Internet e-mail messages for items such as viruses, SPAM, or offensive content. It does so by receiving all inbound and outbound e-mail for the customer, performing the required scanning, then forwarding the messages on to their final destination. In accordance with the customer s policy configuration, some messages may be held for later review, simply have the message instance logged, or maybe even have a virus-infected file cleaned. All the Mail.com customer s emails are routed through mail server where we have Mailwatch scanner installed. Tested entire Mailwatch scanner for virus scanning, profanity, Spam for different customer. Created Automations scripts to send emails to scanner with different mail clients like Eudora Pro, Outlook, and Netscape Messenger. Configured SMTP, POP IMAP server to point to MailWatch web server.

  • Another project was GroupWare Site. GroupWare had two different components; one was Hot Database Standby and Network API. Hot Database Standby was One of the key factors in the future success of Mail.com Business Messaging Services is our ability to differentiate ourselves from our competitors on the basis of service reliability, scalability, and robustness. Hot database standby was required to eliminate the GroupWare database as the single point of failure in the GroupWare service. If a catastrophic failure occurs on a GroupWare database server, customers should see minimal or no service disruption. Tested application in this kind of failure situation. Created Project Plan, Test Plan and test cases to test this part of application. Network APIs are functions or procedures that will be executed to perform certain tasks like add/modify/delete for contacts and calendar packages. Created SQL queries to perform this functionality.

  • Another project was for Empirix Automation Test Tools. Empirix has different automation tools that we use to perform functionality, load, stress and performance testing using e-tester, e-load, e-monitor and e-reporter. Created and executed automated script against application to test the GroupWare application. Made changes in VB script to create virtual users to take load and performance measurements. Also changes VB scripts to customize tool to test different part of application. Used Empirix E-Tester, E-Load to perform functionality and load testing.
